hip hop (plip plop).

hello hello.  as you read this on HIP HOP THURSDAY, i will either be (depending on the time) teaching or conducting parent-teacher conferences.  it is going to be a loooong day.  feel my pain. ;)

here is a funny story:  on election day, i had my first graders write "if i were president, i would _____."  of course i took their picture looking presidential.  they cut themselves out and glued it to their paper and incorporated it into an illustration.  one of my girls brought me her paper and showed me this creeper in the corner of her illustration.  he was tall and had this big black hat on and a weird curly beard.  i said, "tell me about your picture.  who is this guy?"  she said a name and i was like, "whaaaat?!"  she said it like 5 more times and she added, "you know...the dead president!" i finally figured it out...he was , "BABY HAM lincoln"! abraham lincoln. fuh-nny!!

meanwhile, back at the ranch...here are some layouts for a sort of calgon-take-me-away moment.

yeah....so i have been a little obsessed with project life lately.  it is so easy and quick-fast like a ninja.  these pages are all from my 2010 album.  i had printed all the pics in sepia and wallet sized beause i had planned to create some type of mini album.  NEVER DID.  i used the project life system and finished in about 4 months (that's while taking breaks to keep up on my current PL album as well as regular layouts...oh, and work).  magical, i know.

check out some more:
(ha!  don't really know why this one is so cock-eyed!)

ok.  be gone!  go see jimmi!

I am in love with P.L for that very reason! It's so awesome that I am up to date with this current years album AND I did what you did and got last years album done in a few months this year. I love your layout designs on the kraft and that Baby Ham Lincoln story has me cracking up!

I love these layouts and more importantly, I love the story about the Baby Ham Lincoln (out of the mouths of babes). Thanks for sharing both!

Printing the pictures in wallet-size is a good idea. Takes up less room so you can get more pictures on a page. thanks for the tip.
