finally-back-hip-to-the-hop!!!

omg!  i have been gone for what seems like FOREVER!!  i literally have not scrapbooked for THREE MONTHS!!  shut up!  it sucked.  on june 30th we had torrential downpours and record rain amounts.  megan and i were trying to get home from basketball through flash floods and it took forever.  seriously, cars and trucks were up to their DOORS in rain water.  it was crazy.  meanwhile, back at the ranch (style house), we lost power...and our sump pump went out (we live country style)...and our (finished)basement FLOODED.  it was crazy.  we lost a bunch of stuff and had to get all new flooring.  the great part was that my scrapbook room had very little damage (besides the floor).  the bad news is we had to pack everything hastily away in boxes for the whole rest of the summer while we repaired and replaced.  did I mention "the whole rest of the summer"...you know, when i DON'T WORK (because I am a teacher) and have bunches of time to scrapbook?!?  yeah.  this summer nada.  zip.  zilch.  no scrapbooking.

while we are still putting in new baseboards and such, most of the work is finished and i can (slowly) unpack my scrapbook stuff.  BOO-YAH!!!  here is what i completed last night:

proof:

my hunter husband was SUPER handy and macgyver-like and brought me this propane heater to sit by.  it was AWESOME!

i wore 3 pairs of socks, fur lined boots, 2 pairs of long johns under my sweats, 2 compression tanks, 1 long sleeve shirt and 1 thermal, 1 hoodie, 2 pairs of gloves, 1 hat, 1, huge fleece blanket, and 2 winter coats.  it was crazy cold for march 18th.  worst part...they are calling for more flippin' snow this weekend!!!

meanwhile, back at the scrapbooking ranch...

i once again paired the SMAK stamps with my project life pages.  they go together like rama-lama-lama-ka-dinga-di-ding-di-dong.

saturday SMAKin'!

well hello, SMAK kit! of all my stamps, you are my favorite! see here:

my oldest started high school this year. i immediately thought of all the graduation parties i have ever attended. i figured that it would be oh-so-very-wrong to put up cheesey posters of pictures for my kid's party. so i am, for once, ahead of he game and creating project life style ablums for megan's high school years. i am ALSO going back and doing books for her (and all my kids) childhood. AWESOME!

the SMAK kits are the perfect stamps for this type of project!

this month's kit:

have a super saturday! ;)

hip hop...back again!

check it and wreck it and let's begin...
party on, party people...

yeah!  how about that for a starter.  i was in college when that song came out and could have been seen at various parties and bars doing my best white girl dance (with my high waited stirrup pants, hoop ear rings, and BIG teased hair).  STILL love that song!

meanwhile, back at the hip hop...

and if that was not enough wonderful goodness, check this out...

now that i have wow-ed you ;), go see jimmi!
