mc-hip hop!

i have always loved art and photos and craftiness, so it is no surprise that i got into scrapbooking.  however, when i look back at old layouts and create the layout like i am sharing today, i realize scrapbooking to me is really about the story for me.  first of all, i have a horrible memory.  i remember being in college and taking a quiz on some chapters of a book that i had JUST read the night before.  i kid you not, i could not remember the main characters' names.  terrible. memory.

scrapbooking is as much about the photos as it is about the stories behind the photos for me and my family.  as my kids get older (17.5, almost 14, and 10.5!!!), it is great to look back and reflect upon their childhood.  we sit around and go through scrapbooks and just laugh and laugh.  it is fan-freakin-tastic!

and what is up with me?!  this is more dialog on a post than i have shared all year!! :)  so on to the show:

(ha ha!  love her FACE!)

Oh....that is a classic!!! Oh, my goodness....so funny!!!

I agree with her completely. There is nothing tastier than hot out of the oil McDonalds fries....let the burger or nuggets wait while I finish my small fry order. Oh, bliss....

Now that we have our 4 yr old granddaughter with us, I have been refamiliarized with Happy Meals. How disappointing to see they give you a tiny portion with only about 5 fries in it. My little GD still offers to share with me, though. :)

Cute scrapbook page.

The expression is priceless. Let her know it's the First Lady who messed with McDonalds and all the school lunch portions too. My boys were annoyed also.

That look is hysterical!! Just the kind of picture you have to scrapbook!! Love the layout!

Hahaha, that is awesome and exactly the kind of story you will all want to remember years down the road! I have been a horrible scrapbooker lately so I started a memory jar where we can all write down funny/happy/silly memories throughout the year and read them on New Years eve and then I include them in a big pouch at the end of our project life book.

Oh my, that's too funny (well, not really, but ...). Great layout! I love a LO with a story on it, but her face really said it all and you could've left out the journaling and I'd know exactly what happened anyway.
