help wanted

so, about 4 years ago i got my "party camera". it's tiny and i can take it everywhere. well now they have cameras even MORE TINY that take better pictures and hold higher GB memory cards. anyone have a recommendation? i am looking for a party camera that takes CLEAR, CRISP pictures. i have always been a cannon girl, but i hear nikon is good (although i bought and tried a $150 colorpix nikon and it sucked it big time). leave me a comment AND recommendation and you will have a chance to win a random grab bag of UNITY STAMPS!!! :)
stamps used:
alphabet: just my type
name tag, lines: capture life november 09 (scrapbooking kit)

Sorry, no recommendation ~ I'm in the same boat as you, so I'm anxious to know what you get and how it works. I'm trying to convince my hubby that even though I have a Cannon digital Rebel XTi, that I do need a smaller camera to keep in my purse. Glad I'm not the only one.

ps. would still love the chance to win some Unity! :)

I love your LO as always Jen. Your little girl is so adorable! And she is Fashionable!
Recommendations: I am always happy with a kodak easyshare. I have never had a problem with a kodak. I currently have a nikon and a kodak, but have trouble using all the settings on the nikon (even auto...) but when I use my much smaller kodak, I get great pictures almost EVERY time and it is very durable since my 2.5 year old thinks he needs to play with it and my DH dropped a whole can of beer in my purse once...right on the camera, and it is still kickin!

1) - i just LOVE all the kraft on your page right now! the LOs are fantastic (and the scratch 'n sniff one made me giggle, because that's SO me!), but the sheer kraftiness has me coming back for more!

2) - recommendation. Target had a Kodak camera on sale right now - an EasyShare ZD15 - 10 MP, 10X optical zoom. (on their website, it comes up as the Z915) regular price was $199.99 and i picked it up for $129.99 on new year's eve. hubbin LOVES it. it's so compact (without being teeny-tiny and user unfriendly), and the images are FANTASTIC! i don't know if it's still on sale, but i'm a big fan! good luck on your quest, Jen! :D

I have a Sony Cyber-shot and absolutely LOVE it. It's a great size for throwing in my bag and the pictures are soooo clear and pretty. Definitely a good buy for the price too...

1st off I love the layout!! the lines as embellishment instead of journaling is fabulous! As far as cameras go - I do not use the tiny ones because I am too scared I will drop them however my daughter loves her Olympus. I have the Olympus SP-590 at work it is a little chunky but great to hold onto and I never get a blurry picture with it!! I bought a new one for me for Christmas it is the Nikon Coolpix P90 the chunky one - I am not sure that I like it yet some of my inside pictures seem too yellow on the screen but I need to get them printed to see if that is going to be the case. It had good reviews when I bought it so I don't know if it's just me. When I take pictures of my cards it does fine as long as I have natural light.

I am such a fan of your stuff. I just love all your work. As far as cameras go, I highly recommend an Olympus...they may be a tad on the pricey side but well worth the money. They are tiny and amazingly durable...and best yet - waterproof! Dunk it into your mug of beer and all is still fine. Underwater shots are so fun. Plus it's fast...if your spoiled like me by using an SLR...speed is important. Those action shots are a synch.

I recommend the compact Panasonic Lumix. Great clear pictures for the price of the camera!
Love your layouts as always Jen!

I love the cannon products as well...my friends have small ones and the take great pics although not very good in the dark....thanks for the chance :P

I don't think the brand is as important as finding the features that you want. My daughter has a darling little Samsung that is a real gem. I've used both Nikon and Kodak with success. Happy shopping and keep up the great LOs. I always look forward to seeing what you've come up with!

Hey Jen! I LOVE your posts and adore your scrapbooking style!!! I'm a card-maker myself, as an entire scrapbook page intimidates me ..yes, I'm a freak! ;o) You inspire me, however...and I may step out of my comfort zone this year and try some scrapbooking!!

As far as cameras go, I just got a Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Digital Elph for Christmas. I LOVE IT!! It's tiny enough to throw into a small purse and takes great, great shots!! Good luck and thanx for the chance to win!

Super-cute layout--love the photos you are able to capture of your kiddos! I just got a Fujifilm Finepix F72EXR for Christmas. It's small enough to fit in my pocket and has a "sports" mode for catching my little one in action--running, climbing, etc. It has a very cool "face finder" kind of feature to help capture those great kids' expressions, and the display screen on it is large and bright enough to see outside in the park. It holds very large memory cards, too! Good luck finding your camera!

I am a cannon girl too - I have a big one, my son has a little cannon a PowerShot - it takes decent pictures 7.1 megapixels - of course the inside shots like in the school auditorium come out a bit dark - but it takes great outside and close up inside shots.
Good luck - cameras are a tricky thing!

I love your layout~~

I have always used Kodak EasyShare cameras. Have had no problems with them.

Good luck finding one you like~~

Great layout! I have had very good luck with Kodak Easy Share cameras. I believe mine is the Z10 and it takes pics to compare with my SLR, and quite compact :) Good luck!

Cute layout! I just received a Panosonic LUMIX for Christmas and love it. It has a lot of choices for advanced photographers, but for me it has automatic and takes great pictures!

No recommendation but your layout and little girl are adorable!

your LOs and pages always always ALWAYS look awesome:) I love how you put everything together--I should hire you to make my scrapbook:)

Recommendation...I like my Cannon Powershot A60...it isn't that tiny--but it does fit in a purse and takes clear shots. I have had it for about 5 years...and they just fixed it for free! Can't beat that! I also have a LUMIX...bigger camera. I tend to take that when on vacations. Good luck finding a camera that works for you!!

Jen, this LO is awesome and your daughter is sooo adorable! What a great way for her to remember this day!
I have a big DSLR camera, so when my son needed a camera, I had to find one that I would like...to take to parties, and events...so...I bought one at Costco, the Casio Exilim..it's 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" and it's a little over 1/2" thick...I love this camera as it fits easily in a pocket and the pictures are pretty good! Hope this helps!

what an awesome l/o for the first day of K. I've had a Cannon PowerShot SD1000 for a while now and I love it. It fits in my purse or pocket easily and I think it takes pretty darn good pics. I would like to see what others recommend, though. Mine's been dropped a few times and really should be replaced.

Two of my daughters got cameras for christmas and we bought them a Sony cybershot - which seems to work well.

cute LO! it's a bit bigger than a purse camera, I have the canon s1IS and I am happy with it...now I think they are at the s5IS or something.

Lovely LO. I read that the Panasonic Lumix is good and also the Fujifilm (had one before and it took fab pictures!)

The layout is just awesome!

As for the camera. I have several! I have two Kodak ones. One is a kodak v1253 love it. I bought it to have in my diaper bag for the time that I forget to take my canon! The other one I just got for Christmas it is Kodak HD Zx1.
I love it!! Although it is a Digital Video camera. But you can get still images from video frames to get that perfect shot. I hope that helps you out!

I did some checking and came up with these: either the Panasonic ZS3 or the Fuji F70EXR. Good luck. Buying a new camera is so subjective!
Abby is adorable!!

Adorable layout! And that Abby is a beauty too!

Sorry I can't give you any recommendations on a party camera....I'm still using my old Sony that I've had for the last 4 years.

Supercute layout! I had several Sony Cybershot models which were 'ok' - they didn't last very long though - both malfunctioned after about a year. I recently got a Panasonic Lumix (model DMC-FS15) package from Costco, and it has more than enough features for me along with OUTSTANDING picture quality! Good luck in your search.
