hip hop and write it down.

when it comes to scrapbooking, i am all about the journaling.  i can pop photos in a sleeve of an album and call it a day.  anyone can.  so i look at it like.... i am going to scrapbook, i need to tell a story.  it works well for me b/c i have a horrible memory.  seriously.  when i scrapbook like this, the story is told and i don't have to rely on my no good, very bad memory.

i will be hosting a journaling crop at scrap-a-latte (see right for link)sometime in the next couple of months. so if you are in need of fresh ideas, you should check it out.  when we settle on a date, i will post it here. :)

do you like this stamp set???

yeah, i know you do~ :)  i will be picking a winner from my blog comments and that chick will get those stamps.  stay tuned!

after my blog, go see wendy!

I really like your outlook on scrapbooking. I have a terrible memory too and if it wasn't for my LOs all those memories would be lost (or at least foggy and misrepresented).

Love the cute stamp set too :-)

I love your pages. They're just about my favourite part of the hop because I know, no matter how rotten I feel, or how bad things are, if your pages don't make me smile, it's because they're making me laugh my {beeep} off.
Thank you for continuing to make my world a little brighter.

I think my favorite part of your absolutely fabulous LO's is your journaling. It is so fun. I love how you take almost the whole page to put the wondeful words around the pictures!

I agree! A scrapbook without the stories is just a collection of photos that years from now no one will know who is in them or what they are!

Kids just say the cutest things sometimes! I think it's so cool that you got it down onto a layout. Both the pages are nice, but I really like the first one a lot. I do mostly cards because it takes me so much time to decide on a page...so I appreciate the work and the thought you've put into this!

I love that you scrapbook the story, and even better that it's in your own handwriting. The words are part of the story, the writing style is the rest of the story!

ruth said...

Great layouts!! I love a great story with the pics too.
