it's good in the hood.

so, i am the assisant coach for my daughter's soccer team.  yesterday at practice, i wore a cleverly funny t-shirt.  it had mr. rogers on it and it said "it's good in the hood".  one of the girls (all in the vicinity of age 12) asked me, "who is that guy on your shirt...mr. rogers???"  i could not believe my ears!  over half the team had never heard of him. i thought EVERONE knew  good ole mr. rogers.  the guy with the quiet voice and need for constant shoe and sweater changes....do you know how many jokes i made about him when i was in middle school?!  tons.  it is such a shame that this generation is missing out!!  they will never sing, "won't you be...my neighbor?".  pity.

Your layouts always make me SMILE. I love your journaling and can visualize you saying exactly what you write. It's awesome. I am a child of the Mr. Rogers generation.. so I'm with you on that one.. it is a pity that our kids won't make fun of cardigan zipping and shoe flipping while meeting up with our imaginary friends and getting the mail delivered. bummer. ;)

I'm a member of the Mr. Rogers fan club for sure. I was so happy that my kids could enjoy him too. Just his voice calmed all of us down.

I love your layout. You are the queen of witty titles for sure & fantastic pages too.

Isn't it crazy that all of the "staples" from our childhood are fading away! That's why I love TV Land, they play so many classic favorites-LOL!
and I just LOVE your layouts, this one is no exception, I love how they all tell a funny story capturing great memories!
