hip hoppin' to school

so, i have been teaching for 15 years...8th grade, 6th grade, 4th grade, and 1st. after all that time, i had a new "first" the other day. in all of my years teaching, i have never had this happen. so i am working at a table with 3 kids, facing me. they are scrapbooking (shut up, it's true! they love it). so one of my boys comes in from ESL and is headed my direction. thank god he did not get to me because he PUKED all over the place. on the floor, the chairs the kids were sitting in, 2 out of the 3 kids, some of the scrapbook paper...OMG! it was even in one girl's hair and the side of her face. that is how my monday started. yaaaaaay for school!!!!! and for the record, my first graders handled it like champs...even the girl who really got it. she says, "well, i can't wait to hear what my mom has to say about THIS!" :)

Your scrapbook page.....FABULOUSITY!!!! Your little story.....HILARIOUS!!!! bet you're ready for summer, bwahahahahaaa!!! I'm only surprised that in all your 15 years, that's the first time a kid puked in class! I used to teach pre-k and I've cleaned up my fair share of blown chunks, lol! How funny. I love your page though, and your chitlens are adorable as ever!

3rd grade, on the bus, a boy threw up all over me. Thank God it was on the way home and not on the way to school. Fun...good times!

Ewwwwww, that is gross! Glad you and the kids handled it so well. I have to confess, when I was in kindergarten and we were sitting in circle, I threw up all over the floor--I tried to go to the bathroom and the assistant told me it was storytime! Of course I didn't say anything, guess I was too shy. There's my embaressing story!!
By the way, your LO is awesome!

Cute page Jen! That is so funny, what a weird coincidence, I actually got a call from school yesterday saying my little Shelby (1st grade!) had thrown up all over the classroom and needed to be picked up! What are the chances of that!?
Too funny - she felt fine after a few hrs, btw! :)

Don't you just love kids!!!! I worked many years at a pre-k through first and it was amazing how the kids could throw up EVERYWHERE!!! By the way, some of my scrapbooking buddies are also teachers and their students scrapbook also! I think it is so cool. Love the layout you did!

oh, what good times in school. my kindergartner did that this year to a brand new teacher during week #2 of school. talk about making a quick impression, lol! she threw up and turned to the teacher and said "i feel better now, but that stinks so I think we better clean it up, come on"......kids, they keep it real I tell ya.

Your layout is adorable, so are the kiddos :o) Love reading your blog.
