he-ey! ho-o! hip hop!

hello again!

title explanation:i teach first grade. it's pretty fun. anyway, 22 six year olds can get a little loud. there are times when i need to get them quiet in a quick-fast way. some teachers count to 5, some count backwards from 5, some flicker the lights. all effective, i am sure. i do things similar, but not quite the same. i (in my loud-ish teacher voice) say "HE-EY!" my kids stop and say "HO-O!" then the are quiet and ready to listen. it cracks me up every time. :)

it's a hip-hop-heat-wave!!!!!!!

yeah, so it's a big ole heat wave here in the midwest. last week we had temps for about 4 days of 45 below zero (yes, shut up! it IS true!). we even had school canceled (loved that one). today it's supposed to get up into the mid 30's. that's hot! and so is unity!!!!

A to the B to the C to the D...hip hoppin' is for me!

omg! my dream has finally come true!!!!! unity came out with a kickin' alphabet stamp set in old school typewriter print!!!! shut up, it's true! i can not begin to tell you how happy this makes me. they are the perfect size too...not too tiny...not too big...juuuuuuust right (sorta like that chick with the porridge).
